Position: Warehouse Manager

As a Warehouse Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting and overseeing the Logistics team within a branch. Your mission is to ensure they have all the resources necessary to consistently deliver exceptional performance while maintaining profitability, adhering to SOP and upholding company policies.

  • Subject matter expert in solving intricate inventory management and transport issues

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • As a leader, your primary focus is ensuring that all Logistics employees within the branch consistently perform at their best:
  • Identify and provide the necessary tools for their tasks
  • Remove any obstacles hindering their progress
  • Ensure alignment with compliance, policies, SOPs, and work instructions
  • Empower them to make data-driven decisions
  • Streamline employee workflows to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Achieve and exceed operational KPIs, with a strong emphasis on Delivery in Full On Time (DIFOT)
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and receivables above 99% consistently
  • Prioritize world-class customer service, treating the customer as royalty
  • Optimize last-mile costs per order, enhance warehouse picker efficiency, and minimize cost per pick
  • Develop a robust managerial layer to support ground operations in line with Wasoko network guidelines
  • Communicate constraints to key stakeholders to align inventory capabilities, reducing overstock and eliminating out-of-stock situations
  • Maintain strong collaboration with 3P vendors, particularly in Transport, to ensure optimal performance and adherence to business metrics and network standards
  • Continuously assess the transportation rate card to standardize 3P supplier rates and ensure competitiveness
  • Coordinate, align, and support cross-functional stakeholders in executing new business development, projects, and process changes
  • Invest in training and mentoring the next generation of talented individuals, maintaining excellence in execution
  • Cultivate an environment that fosters integrity, accountability, and a winning attitude, allowing employees to flourish, enjoy their work, and grow

Requirements:

  • Leadership, coaching, and employee training skills
  • Outstanding organizational and analytical abilities
  • Goal-oriented, assertive, and a pragmatic problem solver
  • Capability to work independently on multiple projects
  • In-depth knowledge of last-mile logistics, including inventory management and ERP processes (prior experience with Manhattan and/or Loginext is highly desirable)
  • Extensive experience (at least 5 years) in the transportation and logistics industry, with excellent financial acumen and cost efficiency understanding
  • A degree in Transportation and Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, Business Administration, or equivalent qualifications
  • Alternatively, an advanced degree in the same field coupled with logistics industry experience
