Matric result online 2023/2024

 The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) is set to launch its Matric Results service in collaboration with the Department of Basic Education (DBE). Operating from December 14, 2023, to February 28, 2024, this service will see the Senior Certificate results released by Ms. Angie Motshekga, the Minister of the Department of Basic Education, on Thursday, January 18, 2024.

The SABC Education Matric Results service aims to provide results to students across all provinces who have registered using SMS, USSD, and the MatricsMate App. The release of results is scheduled for midnight on the day of their publication.

 

To encourage learners to pre-register, SABC Education is offering a chance to win instant airtime for those who register on their platforms. All students can register through SMS or USSD, with an opportunity to win a share of R10,000 in airtime. Alternatively, they can download the MatricsMate App from Google Play and Apple App Stores to receive their National Senior Certificate Examination results. Registration requires learners to use their examination number on the platform of their choice.

 

For registration, students can use the following methods:

 

SMS:

• SMS your exam number to 45856.
• The system verifies the exam number, and correctness is crucial for acceptance.
• Learners will be charged R1.50 per SMS; free SMS’s do not apply.

 

USSD:

• – Dial *120*45856#, enter the exam number to register.
• – Charges are R1.50 per minute, and results will be sent to the phone once available.

 

MatricsMate App:

• Download for free from Google Play and Apple App Stores.

 

For inquiries related to registration and the use of the SABC Education Matric Results service, learners can contact the call center at 011 507 4755, Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00. On the day of the results release, the call center will operate from midnight to 17:00.

An embargo on the publication of results is in place. The 2023 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination results will be released at schools at 06:00 on Friday, January 19, 2024. Media houses and service providers will receive the results on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 07:00. It is emphasized that the integrity and credibility of the examinations depend on how results are handled by service providers, and non-compliance may result in legal action.
