Unique Consultancy Services (UCC) Presents Job Opportunities on the Hoima-Tanga Oil Pipeline Project for a Chinese Company Client

1.Position: Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Officer (6 Positions)

Purpose of Role: The SHE Officer plays a crucial role in developing, maintaining, implementing, and monitoring Safety, Health, and Environmental Systems. This role aims to proactively mitigate risks, enhance preparedness, and ensure the safety and health of our staff. Additionally, the SHE Officer will be responsible for responding to safety incidents and liaising with local authorities when needed.

Accountabilities

  • Regular check-ins with Global SHE to develop safety communication strategies.
  • Respond to safety incidents and escalate when necessary.
  • Complete safety assessments and recommend risk mitigation measures.
  • Ensure safety and compliance at all office/residence locations.
  • Verify regulatory conformity and licenses with local authorities.
  • Conduct internal H&S inspections and audits, reporting incidents and nonconformities.
  • Collect data for H&S KPIs.
  • Provide first-aid assistance.
  • Participate in emergency and fire-fighting teams.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Graduate in relevant fields such as Food Science, Production Technology, Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or similar.
  • 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Certificate in Safety Management.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001).
  • Fluent in English and Swahili.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Resilience under stressful conditions.

Positions: Site Managers (6 Positions)

Job Summary

  • Efficiently manage site services and functional support services.
  • Implement governance and assurance protocols for compliance.
  • Ensure predictable delivery performance and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage functional teams.
  • Oversee Company camps and contractor camps.
  • Manage vehicles, logistics, and aviation activities.
  • Own end-to-end site services processes.
  • Make decisions for small-scale projects.
  • Provide mentoring and support for staff performance evaluations.

Qualifications / Experience Required:

  • Degree/Diploma qualified in relevant fields.
  • Competency in industry applications.

Positions: Field Supervisors (6 Positions

Responsibility:

  • Set targets and ensure daily activity plans.
  • Coach and train Field Officers.
  • Oversee financial products for saving groups.
  • Assist Field Officers in managing troublesome groups.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
