Easy way to get your matric result 2023 

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), in collaboration with the Department of Basic Education (DBE), is launching its Matric Results service, available from December 14, 2023, to February 28, 2024. The Minister of Basic Education, Ms. Angie Motshekga, will announce the Senior Certificate results on January 18, 2024.

 

The SABC Education Matric Results service will distribute results to registered students across all provinces via SMS, USSD, and the MatricsMate App at midnight on the day of release.

 

SABC Education encourages learners to pre-register for the Matric Results service, offering a chance to win instant airtime upon registration on SABC platforms.

 

Students can register through SMS or USSD, standing a chance to win a share of R10,000 in airtime. The MatricsMate App, available on Google Play and Apple App Stores, also provides access to National Senior Certificate Examination results.

 

To register and receive 2023 Matric Results:

 

SMS:

• Send your exam number to 45856.
• Ensure the correct exam number for verification.
• Charges: R1.50 per SMS; free SMS not applicable.

 

USSD:

• Dial *120*45856#, enter exam number to register.
• Charges: R1.50 per minute.
• Results sent to your phone upon availability.

 

MatricsMate App:

• Download for free from Google Play and Apple App Stores.

 

For queries about registration and the Matric Results service, contact the call center at 011 507 4755, Monday to Friday (08:00 to 17:00). On result release day, the call center operates from midnight to 17:00.

Embargo on Results Publication:

• NSC results release at schools on January 19, 2024, at 06:00.
• Media houses/Service Providers get results on January 18, 2024, at 07:00 (except Western Cape).
• Western Cape data released on January 19, 2024, at 12:00.
• Results publication embargoed until 16:00 on January 19, 2024, for Western Cape.
