About CCBRT: Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) is dedicated to providing accessible specialized healthcare services in Africa. It operates as a healthcare social enterprise and through community development programs, with a strong commitment to preventing lifelong disabilities. CCBRT is actively involved in maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC), including obstetric fistula repairs. Their newly established Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral center for high-risk and emergency deliveries in the Dar es Salaam region and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.

Position: Occupational Therapist (2 positions)

Job Description:

CCBRT is seeking dedicated Occupational Therapists to join their teams in Dar es Salaam and Moshi. As an Occupational Therapist at CCBRT, you will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, providing high-quality Occupational Therapy services, counseling, and education in alignment with CCBRT guidelines and client needs. Your role will significantly contribute to ensuring a positive experience for CCBRT clients within the Rehabilitation Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess client needs and formulate individual rehabilitation plans with clear goals and interventions.

• Deliver Occupational Therapy services to clients with physical and cognitive conditions to help them participate in daily activities.

• Procure, measure, and provide necessary equipment for clients.

• Collaborate effectively with the rehabilitation team and other staff members.

• Ensure proper patient administration in accordance with CCBRT guidelines and systems.

• Be a proactive, committed team player who completes assigned tasks punctually.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.

• Valid license from the Medical Council of Tanganyika to practice as an Occupational Therapist.

• Membership in the Association of Occupational Therapists in Tanzania.

• Proficiency in computer skills.

• Strong presentation skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities in both English and Swahili.

• Proactive attitude and a strong willingness to work effectively.
